
Andrew Chiew Ean Vooi graduated from the University of Leeds, England, in 1996 and was called to the Bar at the Middle Temple in 1997. In 1998, he was admitted as an advocate and solicitor of the High Court of Malaya.
Andrew is a partner in the Dispute Resolution Department. He acts for and advises local and international companies on various areas of civil and commercial disputes.
He is also one of the partners in the Banking and Insolvency Practice Group. Andrew acts for financial institutions on a range of matters including banker-customer relationship, borrowers’ obligations, Islamic banking, money laundering and banking fraud. He also advises on liquidation, receivership and personal insolvency matters.
Andrew has presented numerous papers in various conferences organized by Asia Business Forum and LexisNexis on banking and insolvency related issues. He is a contributor to the ‘Legal Guide to Debt Recovery in Malaysia’ (2nd Ed, CCH Asia Pte Ltd, 2006). And he is a member of the Industry Advisory Panel of Taylor’s Law School for the period July 2010 to June 2012.
Andrew also heads the Associate and Pupils Committee which is responsible for the recruitment and retention of pupils and associates in Lee Hishammuddin Allen & Gledhill.
