With almost 40 years of experience in Banking, Finance and Corporate law, Dato’ Thomas Lee has been involved in many major joint ventures, corporate restructurings, schemes of arrangement, listings, project finance, corporate loan and syndications. He is the Senior Partner of the Firm and formerly a senior partner of another Kuala Lumpur-based firm.
Dato' Thomas Lee graduated from Cambridge University, England and holds Master of Arts and Master of Law degrees. He is a member of the Bar in England, and a member of the Inner Temple. Dato’ Thomas Lee is a member of the Panel of Arbitrators of the American Arbitration Association and on the panel of arbitrators of the Court of Arbitration for Sport, Lausanne. He was a member of the ad hoc panel of arbitrators at the 1998 Commonwealth Games, Kuala Lumpur and at the 2000 Olympic Games, Sydney, The Malaysian Precedents and Forms Legal Encyclopedia (Lexis Nexis, Butterworths) is published under his General Co-editorship.
Currently Dato’ Thomas Lee is the Chairman for Alliance Bank Malaysia Berhad and Alliance Investment Bank Berhad and he sits on the board of Alliance Financial Group Berhad, American International Assurance Berhad, AIG General Insurance (Malaysia) Berhad, AIA Takaful International Berhad, Saujana Resort (M) Berhad, Beck Ventures (M) Berhad and Cabot (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd.
