Our Financial Services practice groups serve the needs of major domestic and international financial institutions as well as private and public companies and regulators in relation to banking, securities, derivatives and other forms of financing. We can assist in the development of new financial instruments and structures, as well as assisting in the negotiation, structuring and drafting of specific facilities and issues and their securities.
We have experience in all areas of conventional and Syariah banking, finance and capital markets law and regulations, including acquisition and project finance, Islamic financing (i.e. Murabahah, Bai'Bithaman Ajil, Bai'Inah, Bai Al Dayn, Kafalah and Al-Wakalah), cross-border and off-shore lending, domestic and off-shore syndication, corporate dept rescheduling and restructuring, sell-down and sub-participation arrangements and trade, factoring and other types of general commercial financing. We also have experience listing and the issue of equity, equity linked instruments, structured products, private debt instruments, asset backed securities, commercial papers, medium term notes and programs, convertible and exchangeable bonds and hybrid papers.
