Nitin Nadkarni graduated from the London School of Economics and Political Science, England in 1983 and has been called both to the English and Malaysian Bars. He has been involved in arbitration, banking, international trade, insurance, international law, tax, construction and intellectual property law, building and construction and project disputes.

Nitin has been involved in dispute resolution for 24 years, lately in the area of arbitrations and construction disputes.  He has appeared in domestic and international arbitrations both as counsel and as arbitrator. Amongst the clients he has represented are Malaysian Airlines, Genting Sanyen, Petronas, Affin Bank, CIMB Bank, RHB, Affin Bank, Kumagai Gumi, Ballast Nedam, Transfield, and Arab Malaysian Toda Construction.

Asia Pacific Legal 500 2005/2006 has described Nitin as having an "excellent reputation" in construction disputes, while  "Chambers 2009: A Client’s guide" says "Commentators single out Nitin Nadkarni for his alternative dispute resolution work".
