Tay Weng Hwee main areas of practice are corporate finance and debt restructurings. He acts for a range of financial institutions and borrowers in all aspects of financial transactions. Recent transactions include:
- Advising lender groups (local and foreign) on debt restructurings.
- Advising on infrastructure loans.
- Drafting of standard template financing documents for new financial products.
- Advising and drafting of prospectus for a Shariah compliant umbrella investment fund.
- Oil palm plantation related equity issuance and financing.
Weng Hwee also maintains a selected commercial practice that includes airline catering, F1 racing and environmental protection.
Weng Hwee graduated from the University of Melbourne and admitted and enrolled as an advocate and solicitor of the High Court of Malaya. Apart from a law degree, Weng Hwee has a Bachelor of Commerce also from University of Melbourne.
