LHAG’s Consultant and Partners at the ‘Federalism in Malaysia’ Conference 2019, 1-2 July
The inaugural “Federalism in Malaysia” Conference 2019 will be held on 1 and 2 July 2019 at the Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan. The conference theme is “Redefining the Federal-State Relationship in Malaysia” and will be officiated by His Royal Highness the Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan Tuanku Muhriz Ibni Almarhum Tuanku Munawir, who is also the conference patron.
This conference will discuss the dynamics of federalism and examine whether, after more than 60 years of independence, our present-day federalism model meets the aspirations of the states while preserving democratic ideals and national unity. Topics that will be up for discussion include “Issues in Malaysian Federalism” and “Conflict Management Within Federalism and Inter-State Relations”.
LHAG’s consultant, Dato’ Seri Mohd Hishamudin Yunus, and partners will feature at this conference alongside many other prominent personalities such as High Court judges Datuk Vazeer Alam Mydin Meera and Datuk Hajjah Azizah Nawawi, Emeritus Professor Datuk Dr Shad Saleem Faruqi, Professor Terence Gomez, YB Senator Liew Chin Tong, YB Charles Santiago, Tricia Yeoh and Malaysian Ambassador to Thailand, Datuk Jojie Samuel.
