Businesses are now navigating the challenges thrown up by the global COVID-19 pandemic and the various measures adopted in response. Not only do they have to immediately deal with risks resulting from the unexpected disruption to their operations but they must also foresee and manage any other adverse risks which may finally eventuate.  These could raise concerns on, amongst other things, the ability to fulfil existing contractual obligations (whether of themselves or counterparties) or the aborting of transactions, liability for non-compliance with statutory requirements, or the reorganisation of human and other resources.

LHAG has a team of lawyers dedicated to advising on these concerns and other legal implications from the implementation of the measures to address the COVID-19 pandemic, including in particular the Movement Control Order issued by the Government of Malaysia. We will, from time to time, provide legal updates in relation to the Order and its effects and implications in the links under the heading of Resources.
